A Vicksburg man and woman accused of drug possession and weapons possession were being held without bail this morning in Warren County Jail pending their initial court hearings, Sheriff Martin Pace said.

Chicolby Johnson, 23, 3655 Wisconsin Ave., and Jasmine Holt, 23, 703 Blossom Lane, were arrested about 10:30 p.m. Sunday following a traffic stop at Cherry Street and Shannon Alley.

Deputies found a .25-caliber semi-automatic handgun and seven doses of Ecstasy, a schedule 1 controlled substance.

Both face drug possession charges, and Holt faces a charge of possessing a firearm by a convicted felon.

Pace said Holt was being held for the Mississippi Department of Corrections because she is on probation and would not be eligible for bond after the initial hearing.
