As a resident of Warren County, according to Bill Lauderdale, I am an “idiot.” I may be an “above average idiot” because I do own a weather radio.

As an “idiot” I am having a hard time understanding why the supervisors, particularly Richard George and Lauderdale, are having so much trouble making a decision about allowing the residents of Warren County to sign up for CodeRed. This service is already in place and would not cost any extra for the County residents to join. If I remember correctly, Lauderdale said he has this service on his cell phone, a phone I imagine we “idiots” are providing.

Does his exalted position make his life more important than the lives of us poor “idiots”? One thing I can say for us “idiots” in the 2nd District, at least we were smart enough to replace David McDonald and give John Arnold a chance to represent us. Maybe the other districts will reconsider voting Lauderdale and George back in at the next election.

You know what they say, “the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting different results.”
