EDWARDS — Services for Virginia Smith Hubbard will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Oak Ridge M.B. Church in Edwards with the Rev. K.C. Frazier officiating. Burial will follow at Henry Cemetery in Edwards. Visitation will be at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home from noon until 7 p.m. Friday with the family present from 6 until 7.

Mrs. Hubbard died Sunday, Oct. 28, 2012, at her home. She was 80.

Mrs. Hubbard attended Hinds County Schools. She was a member of Old Oak Ridge M.B. Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Wesley Hubbard; a daughter, Alfreda Know; her parents, Ruther and Annie Bell Smith; and eight siblings.

Survivors include a daughter, Luella Thomas of Edwards; six sons, James Herman Allen, Walter Smith, Luke Smith, George Smith, Alfred Allen and Ruther Allen, all of Edwards; four sisters, Joella Hunter of Gary, Ind., Annie Wright of Chicago, Bertha Smith of Indianapolis and Lucy Nichols of Jackson; two brothers, Andrew Smith of Gary and James Smith of Chicago; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends including Roberta Cassell of Edwards.
