PORT GIBSON — Funeral services for Rosie P. Peters, a former Port Gibson resident, will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Church of Christ Central in Port Gibson, under the direction of Williams Funeral Service.

Mrs. Peters died Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at UMC Hospital in Las Vegas. She was 73.

Mrs. Peters was born in Claiborne County and was a member of Church of Christ Central.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie T. Peters; four brothers, Tommie Barnes, Jack Barnes, Levi (Preacher) Barnes and Tommy Terrell; and four sisters, Mary Barnes, Florence Gibson, Teresa Gibson and Julia Mae Epps.

She is survived by three sons, Virgil Peters and Charles Peters of Las Vegas, Nev., and Eddie Barnes of Port Gibson; four daughters, Alice Mack Clayton, Tanya Jackson, Shenita Gaines and Shannon Peters, all of Las Vegas; and 14 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be L. Jamarrs Peters, Kelvin Reed, Elmo A. Cooper, Jerald Bell, Terry Young and Jae Nathan Gusta, Jr.

Burial will be at Thompson Memorial Garden.
