A Vicksburg man accused of shooting at another man during a fight was on the lam this morning.

Eric Mitchell, 31, 504 Melrose Ave., is accused of trying to shoot a 32-year-old man as they argued at 6:48 p.m. Saturday, police Capt. Bobby Stewart said.

The two men were at 608 Rigby St. when Mitchell pulled a .38-caliber pistol, Stewart said. The victim fought with Mitchell who fired a shot into the wall of the home, Stewart said. The victim was not seriously injured, Stewart said.
