War Dawgs roll to big win over Salem

Thanks to Ledarion Robinson’s return to health, the Hinds AHS express is rolling again. Robinson rushed for 109 yards on 16 carries and two touchdowns to pace Hinds to a 35-16 rout of Salem on Friday night.

“We finally played like we’re capable of playing,” Hinds AHS coach Michael Fields said. “We’ve got Ledarion back to health for the first time in a few games and it showed.”

Reginald Warnsley paced the ground game with 150 yards on 24 carries and two touchdowns, giving Hinds AHS its first two 100-yard rushers in the same game this season.

Hinds AHS (3-6, 2-5 Region 4-1A) rolled to a 22-0 lead in the first quarter, thanks to a Warnsley 5-yard run and a 20-yard run by Robinson. Salem (4-4, 2-4) got into the red zone, but Te’yarious Jones scooped up a fumble and returned it 98 yards for a TD.

Robinson scored in the second quarter and Warnsley added another rushing TD in the fourth to complete the scoring.
