Karen Anderson-Smith

Karen Anderson-Smith died Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at her home. She was 50.

Ms. Anderson-Smith was a member of The Church of the Holy Trinity, Episcopal. She retired after nearly 25 years of service with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers-Waterways Experiment Station and was a musician.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bertram and Opal Anderson-Smith.

She is survived by a sister, Susan Anderson-Smith of Tucson, Ariz.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at The Church of the Holy Trinity, Episcopal. Burial will be at Greenlawn Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. until the service.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Vicksburg High School graduating class of 1978.

Memorials may be made to Vicksburg-Warren Humane Society.
