A Vicksburg man was arrested Friday afternoon on drug charges during a traffic stop on North Frontage Road.

Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said Michael Johnson, 29, 1112 Second North St., was charged on a warrant with sale of cocaine. Johnson was being held without bond in the Madison County Jail pending an initial appearance in Vicksburg Municipal Court. Stewart said the arrest was the result of a police narcotics unit investigation into reported drug activity in the 100 block of Warrenton Road.
