The check had been reported stolen from a local agriculture company around Oct. 26, Stewart said.

Officials did not know Lee’s relationship with the business.

Warren County deputies arrested Lee Wednesday for cashing a $654 check on the same account at RiverHills Bank in September, Sheriff Martin Pace said Thursday.

Pace said another woman, Lela Rashell Lewis, 22, 9199 Mississippi 3 of Redwood, was charged with uttering a forgery Wednesday for attempting to cash a $525 check on the same account.

Lewis was released from the Warren County Jail on a $2,500 bond.

Lee was being held without bond at the Warren County Jail this morning.
