Minnie Brown Hite

MAYERSVILLE — Minnie “Pearl” Brown Hite died Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at Sharkey-Issaquena Hospital in Rolling Fork. She was 71.

Mrs. Hite was a cosmetologist for more than 45 years.

Survivors include her husband, Johnnie T. Hite of Mayersville; four sons, Alfred Brown III of Mayersville, Adrian Brown of Memphis, Malcolm Merrill of Vicksburg and Byron Hite of St. Louis; two daughters, Zabrina Brown of Mayersville and Mitzi Hudson of St. Louis; one brother, Selmon Ford of Irvington N.J.; one sister Henrene Sharkey of Greenville; and 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Rose Hill M.B. Church in Mayersville with the Rev. Elijah Eason officiating. Burial will follow at New Bethel Cemetery in Mayersville. Visitation will be from noon until the service at the church.
