3 juveniles arrested in motorcycle thefts

Three juveniles were in the Juvenile Detention Center after being arrested for stealing two motorcyles Saturday, Vicksburg Police Lt. Bobby Stewart said today.
The motorcycles, a 2008 Kawasaki valued at $5,000 and a 2008 Viva valued at $1,200, were reported missing at 8:05 a.m. from a home in the 100 block of Berryman Road, where they were trailered.
At 9:53 a.m., they were recovered in the 500 block of Berryman, Stewart said.
The juveniles — one 15- and two 16-year-olds — were charged with grand larceny. They were being held pending an initial hearing, which Stewart said would probably be Tuesday.
AC, radios, gun among missing items
Car radios and sound equipment, a window air conditioner, a computer and a pistol were among the items reported missing in auto and residential burglaries reported in the city over the weekend, said police Lt. Bobby Stewart.
Friday at 8:36 a.m., a Lennox air conditioning unit was reported missing from a home in the 900 block of Main Street. The unit was valued at $600.
A JVC CD-radio valued at $120 was reported stolen Friday at 10:56 a.m. from a 1993 Cadillac in the 1200 block of Second North Street.
A residential burglary in the 100 block of Falk Steel Road was reported Saturday at 8:30 a.m. Stolen were a Smith and Wesson pistol valued at $500 and a Nokia cell phone valued at $150.
An auto burglary in the 700 block of U.S. 61 North was reported Sunday at 9:37 a.m. Stolen from an unidentified vehicle was a Dell laptop computer valued at $600.
Another auto burglary was reported Sunday at 9:56 a.m. in the 1200 block of South Street. Stolen from a 2003 Nissan Sentra was a JVC flip radio valued at $625, three Panasonic speakers valued at $437 and a Punch 500-watt amplifier valued at $400.
Trailer, tools missing at construction site
Workers at the new El Sombrero construction site at 110 Cypress Center Drive reported two burglaries over the weekend, said police Lt. Bobby Stewart.
At 1:34 p.m. Sunday, a 16-foot trailer valued at $900 was reported missing.
At 1:14 a.m. today, a storage trailer was reported burglarized. Missing was a Ryobi router valued at $150 and four Bosch nail guns valued at $250 each.
Clinton man jailed over child support
A Clinton man was in the Warren County Jail today after being arrested Sunday afternoon for an outstanding warrant from the Mississippi Department of Corrections for child support.
Derrick Jones, 37, 530 Stout Road, was being held without bond.
One-car wreck injures three on N. Washington
A single-vehicle wreck at North Washington and Spout Spring Road Friday at 7:14 p.m. sent three children to the emergency room.
Nehemiah Hyder and Jeremiah Hyder, both 4, and Alonzo Hyder, 5, were passengers in the unidentified vehicle that hit an embankment, Central Fire Station records said.
The children were taken to River Region Medical Center.
No information was available on the driver or the cause of the wreck, and River Region did not return calls for information on the childrens’ condition.
