EDWARDS — Johnny L. Lewis Sr. died Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2009, at his home in Edwards. He was 53.

Mr. Lewis was employed at Cal-Maine Factory in Edwards.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sammie Lewis Sr.; and his grandparents.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Andrew Lewis; his mother, Alberta Lewis of Edwards; one son, Johnny Lewis Jr. of Edwards; three brothers, Sammie Lewis Jr. of Edwards, Sidney Lewis of Soso and William Lewis of Pocahontas; one sister, Dianne Crowder of Batesville; and other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at United Missionary Baptist Church in Edwards with the Rev. Elzie O’Neal officiating. Burial will follow at St. James Cemetery in Edwards. Visitation will be from noon until 6 p.m. Friday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home.
