7 sentenced in Warren County Circuit Court|Court report

In Warren County Circuit Court the week ending Friday:
• Colton Branning, 18, 118 Robert E. Lee Blvd., pleaded guilty to simple assault on a law enforcement officer and was sentenced by Judge Isadore Patrick to 166 days in jail followed by five years of probation, plus $1,822.50 in fines. Branning was arrested Nov. 21.
• Aurelio Casas, 33, 1486 Yarbrough Road, Harvest, Ala., pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana and was sentenced by Patrick to four years of probation and $3,122.50 in fines. Casas was arrested Dec. 8.
• Harvey Lee Funches, 39, 349 Funches Road, pleaded guilty to DUI third offense and was sentenced by Judge James Chaney to be enrolled in the Drug Court Program for a period not to exceed five years, plus restitution and fines totaling $3,797.50. Funches was arrested Jan. 1.
• Merle Glenn Kirkley, 24, 1979 Culkin Road, pleaded guilty to malicious mischief and was sentenced by Patrick to 321 days in jail followed by five years of probation, plus restitution and fines totaling $522.50. Kirkley was arrested July 18.
• Julius Lamont Reed, 19, 5600 Woodroad Terrace, Jackson, pleaded guilty to larceny of a motor vehicle and motor vehicle burglary and was sentenced by Patrick to two years in the Walnut Grove Youth Correctional Facility followed by five years of probation, plus restitution and fines totaling $6,296.00. Reed was arrested Aug. 6.
• John D. Richardson, 20, 107 Brookwood Lane, pleaded guilty to possession of marijuana and was sentenced by Patrick to be enrolled in the Drug Court Program for a period not to exceed five years, plus $2,322.50 in fines. Richardson was arrested Aug. 18.
• Nicole Warnock Williams, 27, 112 Lee Circle, pleaded guilty to possession of precursors and was sentenced by Chaney to be enrolled in the Drug Court Program for a period not to exceed five years, plus $1,822.50 in fines. Williams was arrested April 29.
