Prayers for Kyle Coleson

Published 12:00 am Thursday, October 29, 2009

Peter Halinski, left, and Destiny Woods, both seniors at St. Aloysius High School, hold candles during a Wednesday night prayer vigil for former student Kyle Coleson. Kyle, 19, has acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and, due to illness, withdrew from St. Al in September. Last week, he was admitted to the critical care unit at Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children. The vigil, attended by about 250 people and organized by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at St. Al, is one of several community efforts aimed at encouraging the Coleson family —Kyle, his mother, Lisa, and brother, Cody, 14. Peter is the son of David and Joey Halinski, and Destiny is the daughter of Eddie and Renita Woods. (Meredith Spencer*The Vicksburg Post)
