Vicksburg (9-11, 5-1) will try to squeeze in a game today against Ridgeland and will have a game on Friday against Pearl on Friday. If today’s game is rained out, the Class 4A playoffs will start on Monday rather than Saturday.

With several division games between the three yet to be played, Vicksburg’s postseason destiny is in flux.

“We won’t know until we finish Friday,” VHS coach Amanda Yocum said. “If you finish one or two, you get to stay home. If not, you might finish at eight o’clock on Friday and have to get on a bus and drive three and half or four hours on Saturday morning at 6 (a.m.) So it’d be nice to be home for a change.”
