Connie Bowman died Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, at River Region Medical Center. He was 56.

A Vicksburg native, Mr. Bowman was a 1970 graduate of Rosa A. Temple High School. He graduated from Alcorn State University and was a brick mason. He was a member of Standfield M.B. Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, William C. Bowman Sr.; and his mother, Cleola Gant.

Survivors include his wife, Pearl Bowman of Vicksburg; one son, Anthony B. Bowman of Virginia; three brothers, William C. Bowman Jr. and Larry Bowman, both of Vicksburg, and William Bowman of Dallas; five sisters, Eunice Smith, Cheryl Davis, Brenda Bowman, Tammy Antwine and Elease Chambers, all of Vicksburg; one grandchild; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
