PORT GIBSON — James A. Guy died Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, at River Region Medical Center. He was 73.

Mr. Guy is survived by his wife, Marilyn Guy of Port Gibson; a son, Davey Guy of Memphis; a daughter, Twania Spruille of Port Gibson; two stepdaughters, Tabetha Moore of Jackson and Katina Osbourne of Clinton; one brother, Herman Guy of Port Gibson; four sisters, Gracie Bond and Estelle Rone, both of Memphis, Willie Miller of Jackson and Ethel L. Watkins of Kansas City, Kan.; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mercy Seat M.B. Church in Port Gibson. Burial will follow at Carbondale Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Friday at Thompson Funeral Home and Saturday at the church from 1 p.m. until the service.
