CARY — Jamaya Lashay Carroll and her mother, Karitha Jenee Carroll, died Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009, at their home in Rolling Fork. Jamaya was 3; Karitha was 31.

Jamaya is survived by her father, Archie Sanders III of Vicksburg; a sister, Kaneisha Shontae Carroll of Cary; and a brother, DeQuontae Arsun Carroll of Cary.

Karitha is survived by her father, Gilbert Hayden of Kansas City, Mo.; her mother, Verda Carroll of Cary; a son, DeQuontae Arsun Carroll of Cary; a daughter, Kaneisha Shontae Carroll of Cary; one brother, Terrance Carroll of Kansas City; and three sisters, Tieysha Matthew of Norfolk, Va., and Deivory Stamps and Makesha Stamps, both of Cary.

Services for both will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Mount Zion M.B. Church in Cary with Pastor Eugene Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Cary Community Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Home of Rolling Fork.
