Miss Parker to marry Mr. Hamlin on April 11

The engagement of Evita Latasha Parker to Antonie Romel Hamlin, both of Vicksburg, is announced today. The wedding will be at 5 p.m. April 11, 2009, at Word of Faith Christian Center. A reception will follow at the Vicksburg Convention Center. Close relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Miss Parker is the daughter of Dorothy T. Rankin and Elvin M. Parker of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Lettie Parker and the late Leroy Parker of Port Gibson and the late Willie B. Tyler of Cannonsburg.
Mr. Hamlin is the son of the late Carolyn H. Hicks and Eugene Hamilton of Port Gibson. He is the grandson of Mary Lee Shorter and Ellen Hamlin and the late Randolph Hamlin, all of Port Gibson.
The bride-elect graduated with honors from Warren Central High School. She received a biology degree from Alcorn State University.
Miss Parker is a Mississippi-licensed insurance agent.
The prospective groom is a graduate of Port Gibson High School. He is a former employee of Rouse Polymerics.
