Hilldale receives USDA recognition

Hilldale Water District has received a certificate of recognition from the USDA Rural Development.

The water provider was recognized at the Mississippi Rural Water Association’s Annual Management and Technical Conference in Jackson last month. Hilldale certified operator Danny Shy and general manager Bradley Barnes accepted the award. Criteria is providing safe, sanitary, dependable water while demonstrating exceptional financial and technical management.

Hilldale was among 500 water utilities in the state that received awards at the conference. The district is in southern Warren County and serves about 1,800 customers.
