Isn’t it interesting that no matter what our president tries to do to improve our nation, all we hear is, “We hope he fails,” “He is not my president,” “I will never call him president,”  and “Leave government out of my Medicare.” Then there is his infamous “paling around” with terrorists, socialists, communists, dictators and stars. The statement, “I pray that his wife is made a widow and his children are made orphans,” was made by a minister, no less. Where is the outrage from the alleged moral right? I do not attend church with them, so I do not know what Bible they may read, but my Bible teaches me to pray for my enemies.

Just imagine what the response would have been from the “moral right” if the Rev. Jesse Jackson had said that about former President Bush. I heard many people say that they did not vote for former President Bush, but I have yet to hear any of them say that they wish someone would make Laura a widow or their daughters orphans.

Even today as we continue to be engaged in a war of choice and Osama bin Laden is still at large, the same moral right thinks that a little lie to get us into Iraq is OK because a Republican administration told it. So I guess their Bible says it is OK to lie and cause death and destruction if the lie comes from the lips of Republicans.

Are there two standards for our country? If you commit adultery and are a Republican it is a family matter. On the other hand, if you do the same and are a Democrat it is a disgrace to our country and you should be impeached.

Maybe there is a Bible written solely for those on the right!  If your son or daughter is gay and you are a Republican, it is a private family matter. But if you are a Democrat and your son or daughter is gay it is an abomination against God.

The Bible I read teaches me that all unrighteousness is sin! And it did not distinguish any party from another.

The Bible I read teaches me to look after my brothers and sisters, but I guess theirs teaches that as long as your brother or sister is wealthy, you should look out for him or her.

I am not trying to degrade anyone. My Bible teaches me that God does not like hypocrites and despises a liar. Does theirs teach the same? Just asking.
