Eagle Lake volunteer firefighters, from left, Charles F. Ashley Jr., Assistant Chief Earl Wallace and Chief Bill Parker get a demonstration from Lance Chancellor, national product sales manager for E-One, of what their new vacuum tanker fire truck can do. The truck’s 2,000-gallon tank can be filled in less than two minutes by drawing water from any source, including ditches, lakes and swimming pools. The vehicle’s purpose is to assist pumper trucks with water supply, but it can be used to fight fires. The vacuum tanker is the only one in Warren County and costs about $179,000.
