Miss Pierce, Mr. Robinson to wed

Martha Jean Pierce of Vicksburg and Frank James Robinson of Tallulah will be married at 4 p.m. Dec. 5, 2009, at Greater Mount Lebanon M.B. Church, 339 Alpine St. A reception will follow at St. Mary’s Center, 1512 Main St. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.
The Rev. Curtis Ross will officiate.
Miss Pierce is the daughter of Marie V. Pierce and the late Leon Pierce Sr. of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of the late Johnny and Amanda Horton of Gloster and the late Robert and Mary Pierce of Vicksburg.
Mr. Robinson is the son of Johnny Robinson Sr. and Dorothy M. Robinson of Tallulah. He is the grandson of the late Robert and Katie Robinson of Tensas Parish, La., and the late Riley and Eliza Whitaker of Tallulah.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Vicksburg High School, where she was a basketball and track letterman and received a basketball scholarship to Alcorn State University.
She received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Alcorn State University and a banking foundation degree from Hinds Community College.
Miss Pierce is a certified head teller for Trustmark National Bank and sings alto with the Robinson Quartet Gospel Singers.
The prospective groom is a graduate of McCall Senior High School, where he was a junior featherweight boxer.
He sings gospel and plays bass guitar throughout Mississippi, Louisiana and Arkansas and is lead guitarist for the Robinson Quartet Gospel Singers.
Mr. Robinson is employed in maintenance at River Region Medical Center and Quality Inn & Suites.
