MAYERSVILLE — Johnny Joe Lindsey died Sunday, May 31, 2009, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. He was 62.

Mr. Lindsey was formerly employed in farming.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lindsey of Mayersville; four sons, Johnnie Lindsey and Travis Lindsey, both of Peoria, Ill., Bennie Armstrong of Rolling Fork and Derrell Bunton of Mayersville; three daughters, Vernessa Lindsey of Peoria, Tamkie Bunton of Greenville and Victoria Bunton of Haskell, Texas; two brothers, Senior Lindsey of Cary and Issac Williams of Leland; one sister, Gloria Steen Smith of Greenville; and 22 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Moon Lake M.B. Church in Mayersville with Jeff Wallace officiating. Burial will follow at Blanton Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Home of Rolling Fork.
