Mazzanti named to senior service

Mark Mazzanti of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has been appointed to the federal government’s Senior Executive Service.
The SES is a group of executives selected for their leadership qualifications who serve in key positions just below presidential appointees.
As a member of SES, Mazzanti will serve as director of programs for the Mississippi Valley Division/Mississippi River Commission. He was the past deputy to the director of programs and chief of the Civil Works Integration Division.
Mazzanti began his career with the Corps in 1984. He has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Mississippi and is a graduate of the Federal Executive Institute, Leadership for Democratic Society. He has won numerous awards during his 25 years at the Corps.
Mazzanti and his wife, Beth, have four children. They are members of St. Paul Catholic Church.
