Sharod LaJuan Wilkes Jr., infant son of Sharod L. Wilkes Sr. and Alisha McArthur Wilkes, died Thursday, Aug. 6, 2009, at University of Mississippi Medical Center. He was 5 months old.

In addition to his parents, the baby is survived by two sisters, Ashara Wilkes and Shaliah Wilkes; maternal grandparents, Dr. Willie L. McArthur and Mable McArthur; paternal grandparents, Sandra and Allie B. Kilbert and Willie and Gloria Kimes; and other relatives.

Services were Sunday at Williams Mortuary Chapel in Brookhaven. Burial followed at Hill Crest Cemetery in Brookhaven.
