Ole Miss’ Jordan Henry earns SEC weekly honor

OXFORD, Miss. – Junior outfielder Jordan Henry was named Southeastern Conference Player of the Week after helping lead the Rebels to a series win over No. 24 Alabama, the league office announced on Monday.
Henry, a former Vicksburg HIgh standout, paced the team on the week from the leadoff position in the batting order as he came up with a team-leading seven runs scored and five RBI on the week as Ole Miss went 4-1. He was 7-for-17 at the plate with three walks, a sac fly a sac bunt and no strikeouts.
In the Rebels’ come-from behind win over Memphis, Henry reached base in 4-of-5 plate appearances and going on to score in three times. He was 3-for-4 with a walk, three runs scored and an RBI in the win. He also drove in the go-ahead run in a four-run rally against the Tigers.
