Doris Rea White

Doris Rea White died Monday, Nov. 23, 2009, at her home. She was 69.
A native of Mer Rouge, La., Mrs. White was the daughter of the late Elzie and Bonnie Bell McCowen Rea. She had lived in Vicksburg for 46 years.
She owned and operated several beauty salons, including Special Touch. An artist, she also owned Doris Art Studio.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. White was preceded in death by two brothers; and her husband, Louis Fred White.
Survivors include a daughter, Rhea Ann Hugley of Vicksburg; three sons, Davis White of Evans Mills, N.Y., and Damon White and William A. “Bill” Miller, both of Vicksburg; a brother, Leonard Rea of Durant, Mich.; six sisters, Robbie Wilson of Albuquerque, N.M., Sandra Thomas of Bastrop, La., Pamela Adams of Fort Smith, Ark., Kitty Johnson of Jones, La., and Lillian Jones and Brenda Ashley, both of Vicksburg; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Fisher Funeral Home with the Rev. Gray Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Michael Rea, Jimmy Gray, Ray Kirkland, Joe Haggard, Daniel Green and Jimmy Lewis.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Jobe, Loretta Middleton, Frances Williams, Betty Carroll McWilliams, Loretta Pace and Kathy Pierce.
