Malvina Doran Louque

Mrs. Malvina Doran Louque died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009, at River Region Medical Center. She was 81.

Born in New Orleans, she was the daughter of the late Alexander Daniel Doran and Mae Smith Doran. Mrs. Louque was a graduate of Sophie B. Wright High School and Soule College in New Orleans. She was employed in New Orleans by United Loan Company as head cashier and by Progressive Bank as assistant to the vice president.

Mrs. Louque was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, Nu Phi Mu sorority and several professional business clubs in New Orleans. She was a communicant of St. Paul Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband, Maj. Gen. Robert Edward Louque Jr. (ret.) of Vicksburg; one daughter, Marlene Louque Morris and her husband, Baxter, of Vicksburg; a grandson, Bret Alan Morris and his wife, Jamie, of Monett, Mo.; her twin sister, Kathleen Doran Tresch and her husband, Edward, of Slidell, La.; and one niece and two nephews. 

A funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul Catholic Church with Monsignor Patrick Farrell, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Green Acres Memorial Park under the direction of Riles Funeral Home. Visitation will be tonight at Riles Funeral Home from 5 until 7 with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. and Wednesday at St. Paul Catholic Church from 10:30 until the hour of the service. 

Pallbearers will be David Vantrease, David McDonald, John Paul Tresch, Harold Tresch, Edward Tresch Jr., Charles Favalora, Paul Lang and John George.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Paul W. Pierce III, Dr. Paul W. Pierce IV, Dr. Abdul G. Bahro, Dr. Michael Davis, Dr. Feras Hamadeh, Dr. J. David Fagan, Dr. V.N. Shenoy, Dr. Martin Newcomb and the fifth floor nursing staff of River Region Medical Center.
