James Rife Wade Sr.

GRACE — James Rife Wade Sr. died Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at his home in Grace. He was 86.

A lifelong resident of Grace, Mr. Wade owned and operated Forest Glade Plantation. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps, serving in World War II. He was a member of Chapel of the Cross Episcopal Church in Rolling Fork.

He was preceded in death by a brother, L.T. Wade Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Alice C. Wade of Grace; one son, James R. Wade Jr. of Grace; one daughter, Vicki Wade Murray of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Chapel of the Cross Episcopal Church with the Rev. Ed Lundin officiating. Burial will follow at Mound Cemetery in Rolling Fork. Visitation will be at Glenwood Funeral Home in Rolling Fork from 9 until 10 a.m. Saturday.

Pallbearers will be John Hodnett, Drick Rodgers, Thad Virden, Ricky Lee, James Hamlin, David Hank-ins, Kevin Corban and George Mahalitc.

Honorary pallbearers will be Doolie Lee, Jimmy Glisson, Neal Clinkscales and Bill Clements.
