Ruby Lee (Garner) Jernigan, 85, died Monday, Oct. 19, 2009, at River Region Medical Center.

Visitation is today from 1 p.m. until service time at Colonial Chapel in Magee. Funeral services are at 3 p.m. today at the funeral home chapel with burial at Sharon Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 601-849-5031, Magee, is handling the arrangements.

She was a member of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include a son, Cordis Jordan Jr. of Shuqulak; daughters, Phyllis Foster and Elizabeth Ivy, both of Vicksburg; sisters, Roma Collier of Florence and Margaret Hughes of Magee; nine grandchildren, Tim Graves (deceased), Dale Jordan, Marty May, Karen Nichols, Shannon Whitehead, Gary Jordan, Chris Jordan, Becky Beyea and Johnathan Jordan; and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nevel and Alma Garner; brothers, Buddy Garner, Billy Garner and Gillis Garner; a son, Gary Jordan; and husband, Houston Jernigan.
