Willie Lee Morgan died Thursday, April 30, 2009, at his home. He was 61.

Mr. Morgan had served in the Marines, National Guard and was retired from the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Tom E. and Nellie Morgan; two brothers, Sammie Morgan and Elijah Morgan; and two sisters, Masrine Morgan and Lucille Morgan.

Survivors include his wife, Beate Morgan of Vicksburg; three sons, Jason Morgan of Milwaukee, Phillip Morgan of San Diego and Raymond Jones of Germany; two daughters, Meeka Morgan-Allen of Port Gibson and Natalie Morgan of Milwaukee; two brothers, Arthur Morgan and Jasper Morgan, both of Pattison; a sister, Lillie Seefeldt of Port Gibson; and other relatives and friends, including Ruth Buerlein of Germany.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Mount Burner M.B. Church in Port Gibson with the Rev. Ray Coleman officiating. Burial will follow at Forrest Grove Christian Cemetery in Pattison with Thompson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with family hour from 6 until 7, and Tuesday at the church from 10:30 a.m. until the service.
