The three were part of the Gains in the Education of Mathematics and Science camp held this past week at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Engineer Research and Development Center. GEMS, for students, aims to develop future scientists. Maliq is the son of Muriul Holmes. Kristen is the daughter of Ricky and Diane Pennington. Jordan is the son of Robert and Debra Peña.
