NEWELLTON, La. — Norvell H. Arnold died Friday, March 27, 2009, at Tensas Care and Rehabilitation Center in Newellton. She was 87.

Mrs. Arnold was born in Strong, Ark., and had lived in Newellton for 77 years. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Newellton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Morrelle Arnold.

Survivors include three sons, Gerald Arnold of Vicksburg and Danny Arnold and Roger Arnold, both of Newellton; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church of Newellton with the Rev. Dennis Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Legion Cemetery in Newellton under the direction of Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the service at the church.

Pallbearers will be Michael Hankins, Mac McDonald, Randy McDonald, Rickey Jones, George Cooper and Darrin Campbell.
