Hannah Grissom, left, takes a free Ralph Lauren Romance Shower Gel from cosmetics sales manager Ann Turnage at Dillard’s Tuesday as others line up to do the same. Dillard’s is one of 14 retail stores distributing $175 million worth of free cosmetics as part of a settlement of a class-action lawsuit claiming customers were overcharged by the retailers and product manufacturers between May 29, 1994, and July 16, 2003. Name brands include Chanel, Clarins, Estèe Lauder and Guerlain. Turnage said almost 500 people picked up cosmetics between 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. The distribution will continue until Tuesday or until all products are gone.
