Weatherly, Paynter are wed in North Carolina

Robert Hines Weatherly Jr. and Sharon Renee Paynter were married at 2 p.m. June 6, 2009, at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Henderson, N.C. The Rev. J. Marshall Neathery officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Sandra Abbott Paynter and Arthur Ray Paynter of Henderson. She is the granddaughter of Helen Norwood Paynter and the late Arthur Lee Paynter, the late Bertha Guerrant Abbott and the late Robert Jordan Abbott, all of Henderson.
The groom is the son of the Rev. Robert Hines Weatherly Sr. and Danella Compton Weatherly of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of the late Emily Raworth Compton and the late Joseph Russell Compton Sr. of Vicksburg and the late Grace Hensley Weatherly and the late Ernest Weatherly of Pontotoc.
Given in marriage by her parents, the bride’s chosen colors were blue and green.
Jerry Lee Ayscue presented a program of nuptial music.
Matron of honor was Sarah Maria Hicks Lynn of Chapel Hill, N.C. Bridesmaids were Willow Serene Jacobson of Chapel Hill and Sarah Teresa Boisvert Paynter of Henderson.
Flower girl was Kaitlin Helen Paynter of Henderson.
The groom’s father served as best man. Groomsmen were Greenfield Marion Baggett III of Springdale, Ark., and Brian Ray Paynter of Henderson.
Ushers were Jeffrey Michael Segnere of Boston, Mass., and Jason Andrew Segnere of Durham, N.C.
A reception followed the ceremony at the home of Sandra and Arthur Paynter on Kerr Lake in Henderson.
For a wedding trip, the couple traveled to Glacier National Park in Montana. They will make their home in Raleigh, N.C.
The bride is employed at East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C., and the groom is employed at Integral Resources Group in Raleigh.
Luncheon
Joan and Cody McKellar and Barbara and William McCleese hosted a luncheon in Vicksburg.
Showers
The bride was honored with a shower hosted by Willow Jacobson, Maria Lynn, Jennifer Segnere, Nicole Segnere and Sarah Paynter in Chapel Hill.
A wedding shower and barbecue was held in Henderson. Host couples were Bob and Will Flowers, Leon and Cathy Dillard, Jerry and Carolyn Ayscue, Marilyn and Sammy Haithcock, Denise and Alan Gill, Renee and Dean Anderson, Rachel and Braxton Poythress, Nancy and Robbie Paynter and Rita and Clyde Wilson.
