Favre retiring from NFL

Former Southern Miss star quarterback Brett Favre will retire from the NFL, several news outlets reported this morning.

ESPN.com reported this morning that Favre told his agent, James “Bus” Cook of Hattiesburg, to inform the Jets of his decision.

Favre played one season in New York after spending the bulk of his record-setting career in Green Bay.
