Lemons to wed Parsons

The engagement of Marjorie Louise “Marji” Lemons to Jacob Watson “Jake” Parsons, both of St. Augustine, Fla., is announced today. Vows will be exchanged at 4:30 p.m. April 25, 2009, at Hawkins United Methodist Church. A reception will follow at The Duff Green Mansion. All relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Miss Lemons is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Rader of Williams, Ariz., and Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Lemons of Cocoa, Fla. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sherrell DeBusk of Mountain Grove, Mo., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lemons of Huggins, Mo.
Mr. Parsons is the son of Barbara Parsons and the late Troy Parsons of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of the late Henry T. Parsons Sr., the late Herschel and Margaret Hale and the late Kenneth and Eloise Dickinson.
The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of James Madison High School in Vienna, Va., where she served as president of the McLean Baptist Youth. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from the University of Central Arkansas, where she was a member of Alpha Phi Omega and on the dean’s list.
Miss Lemons is pursuing a doctorate in occupational therapy from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences.
The prospective groom is a 2000 graduate of Vicksburg High School, where he was a member of the baseball team and Key Club. He attended Delta State University.
Mr. Parsons is a line service technician at Galaxy Aviation in St. Augustine.
