FLORENCE — Paula Kay Spencer died Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. She was 42.

Born in Yazoo City, Mrs. Spencer was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Bessie Thornton.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Spencer of Florence; two daughters, Pamela Manus and Kay Leigh Manus, both of Florence; two sons, Christopher Manus and Steven Manus, both of Florence; a stepson, Nicholas Spencer of Florence; a stepdaughter, Hanna Spencer of Florence; her father, Paul Thornton of Florence; one sister, Tina Manor of Yazoo City; three brothers, Mike Thornton, Leroy Thornton and Tommy Thornton, all of  Yazoo City; and one grandson.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Stricklin-King Funeral Home in Yazoo City with the Rev. Sonny Bradshaw officiating. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery in Yazoo City.
