Walmart worker held on embezzlement

A Utica woman was released from the Warren County jail Friday afternoon after being held on a felony embezzlement charge.

Marlena Frazier, 30, 6666 Morrison Road, was arrested at noon Friday at Vicksburg Walmart, where she was employed, Vicksburg police Lt. Davey Barnette said.

After audits performed by the retailer, Barnette said, Frazier is accused of embezzling at least $500 from the store Nov. 7-23. She was released on a $2,500 bond.

Grand larceny charge lands one in jail

A Vicksburg man was in the Warren County jail Friday evening on a grand larceny charge.

Jamaal Williams, 18, 205 Northview Drive, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies Friday afternoon, jail records showed. Williams was held on a $2,500 bond.
