Guilbert, Peters are wed March 21 in N.Y.

Joel Hector Guilbert and Amy Marie Peters were married at 2 p.m. March 21, 2009, at the Unitarian Church of Staten Island, N.Y. The Rev. Susan Karlson officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. John F. Peters of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Norman B. Cape of Steelville, Mo., and June Peters and the late Ted Peters of Rialto, Calif.
The groom is the son of Drs. Larry and Sandra Guilbert of Edmonton, Alberta. He is the grandson of Geraldine MacNey and the late Malcolm MacNey of Gig Harbor, Wash., and Rudy and Helen Ryyth and the late Hector Guilbert, all of Rolla, N.D.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride’s chosen colors were clover green and fuchsia.
Music was presented by Eric Guilbert, brother of the groom.
Maid of honor was Katie Peters, sister of the bride, of Vicksburg. Bridesmaids were Stephanie McCullough of Huntington, Ala.; Kelly Deegan of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and Marianne Meen of Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Flower girls were Jenny and Nancy Pont-Briant of Knoxville, Tenn.
Jeremy Schiff of Edmonton served as best man. Ushers were Brian Geldin of Queens, N.Y.; Eric Guilbert of Edmonton; and Josh Peters of Vicksburg. Guilbert and Peters also served as groomsmen.
A reception followed at historic Edgewater Hall, Staten Island.
For a wedding trip, the couple traveled to the rainforests and beaches of Costa Rica in Central America.
They will make their home in Staten Island. The bride is employed with Merrill Lynch of New York City, and the groom is employed with Strassberg and Associates of NYC.
