Meeting Thursday night, trustees of the Vicksburg Warren School District:

• Approved minutes of the Nov. 19 regular board meeting

• Accepted a donation of $7,500 from Entergy Operations Inc., to benefit the robotics team.

• Approved amendments to the 2009-2010 budget.

• Approved the accounts payable claims docket for December.

• Approved personnel recommendations, compensation for extra duties for November and hiring certified and classified position personnel, substitute teachers and tutors/mentors.

• Tabled a request to terminate a residential lease on school district property on Magnolia St.

• Approved a bid for timber sales on 16th Section land totalling $174,107 from Copiah Forest Products.

• Approved bids for janitorial supplies (various vendors) and the bid of AFP Industries for graphing calculators at $95.64 each.

• Approved advertising for bids for reading intervention and speech recognition software, with professional development and support, to be purchased with funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 funds.

• Approved a request from the transportation department regarding school bus turnaround repairs at private residences, so it can be sent to county supervisors for payment.
