Corinne Robertson Mills “Cin”, 71, died Friday, May 1, 2009 at St. Dominic Jackson Memorial Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, May 4, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church in Clinton with burial following in Lakewood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton, and will resume at 9 a.m. Monday at the church.
Mrs. Mills was born Feb. 15, 1938 in Louisville, Mississippi. A graduate of Louisville High School, she continued her education at Millsaps College, transferring after two years to the University of Mississippi where she earned a Bachelor of Education. Shortly after graduation, she married Tommy Mills.
After raising her family in Jackson, they moved to Clinton in 1982, where they established their business, Mills True Value Hardware. Mrs. Mills was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed interior decorating and was often called upon by her friends to help redesign and decorate their homes. Mrs. Mills delighted in her grandchildren and cherished attending their activities. She also enjoyed planning and hosting parties for her family and friends.
She will be most remembered as a beloved wife and daughter, a devoted mother, and a cherished grandmother. She will also be missed by her many friends.
She is preceded in death by her father, Neville Robertson, and sister, Carole Myres.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Tommy Mills of Clinton; daughter, Lisa Neeld and her husband Edward “Bubba” of Clinton; daughter, Stacey Teller and her husband Blake of Vicksburg; grandchildren, Kayla, Chappell and Audrey Neeld all of Clinton, and Morgan, Barrett and Brandon Teller all of Vicksburg. She is also survived by her mother, Corinne Robertson Willis of Clinton; brother-in-law, Richard Mills of New York and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins, including Blanche White of Jackson, all of who loved her very much.
