WC, VHS football tickets now on sale

Season tickets for past Warren Central and Vicksburg high ticketholders are now on sale at the Vicksburg Warren athletic department. New ticket sales will start Aug. 17.

Membership in the Super Viking and Super Gator clubs are $155, and include two season tickets, parking pass, and two passes to all other Vicksburg Warren School District sporting events — except the Red Carpet football and basketball games and playoff games.

Season tickets for new ticketholders are $25. Individual game tickets are $6 per game for reserved seats, $5 for general admission at the gate, or $4 for general admission at the athletic department’s ticket office.

Clear Creek Ladies Golf Association Report

On Wednesday, the Ladies of Clear Creek will host their monthly retiree scramble with a fiesta time theme. Check-in for this event will be 8 a.m. with tee-off at 8:30. A sign-up sheet is in the Clear Creek Golf Course clubhouse or you can call 601-638-9395 to be signed up. Deadline is Tuesday at 5 p.m.

Vicksburg 9th grade football meeting

There will be a mandatory meeting for all ninth grade Vicksburg High School football players at the football fieldhouse on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Vicksburg Junior High Football Meeting

Pass the Rock 3-on-3 tournament

The city of Vicksburg and the Alcorn State women’s basketball program will host a 3-on-3 basketball tournament on Aug. 28-29 at Pemberton Square Mall. The tournament will go from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on the first day and will last from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. on the second. Vicksburg Buccaneers summer registration

Vicksburg Packers football practices

The Vicksburg Packers youth football and cheer program will practice Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the Vicksburg Junior High practice field on Weems Street behind the field house.

Parks and Recreation adult co-ed softball

Registration for the Vicksburg Parks and Recreation Department’s adult co-ed softball league will continue until Aug. 24. Registration forms can be picked up at the Parks and Recreation offices. The league is for players ages 18 and older.

Cost is $200 per team, with an additional charge of $15 for every non-city resident and a $25 charge for players not from Warren County. A mandatory coaches’ meeting is scheduled for Aug. 19 at 6:30 p.m. at the Parks and Recreation office. For information, call 601-634-4514.

Flag football league registration

Registration for the Vicksburg Parks and Recreation Department’s men’s and women’s flag football season will begin on Wednesday and continue until Aug. 28. There are separate leagues for men’s and women’s teams. A mandatory coaches meeting will be held Aug. 26 at 6 p.m. at the Parks and Rec offices on Army Navy Drive.

The Vicksburg YMCA is taking registration for its Little Kickers Soccer program through Aug. 22. Little Kickers is a six-week program for boys and girls ages 4-6.
