The engagement of Dominique Elise Davis and Larry Jermaine Warner, both of Carbondale, Ill., is announced today. Vows will be exchanged June 6, 2009.

Miss Davis is the daughter of Virginia Davis and William Davis, both of Vicksburg. She is the granddaughter of Marilyn Randolph and the late Overton Randolph Jr. and Margaret Moore, all of Vicksburg.

Mr. Warner is the son of Esther Warner and Fred Moore, both of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of Henry Warner and the late Lucy Warner of Vicksburg.

The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Warren Central High School. She received an associate degree from Hinds Community College and will graduate in May from Southern Illinois University, where she will receive a bachelor’s degree.

Miss Davis is a sales clerk at Pay-Less.

The prospective groom is a 2005 graduate of Warren Central High School, where he was a member of the track, football, basketball and soccer teams. He received an associate degree from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, where he played football, and will graduate in May with a bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University.

Mr. Warner is an assistant in the McNair Scholar Office.
