DELTA CITY — Lula Jane Manning died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2009, at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville. She was 78.

Mrs. Manning is survived by two sons, Charles Manning of Chicago and Earnest Manning of South Holland, Ill.; one daughter, Clara Taliaferro of Greenville; eight brothers, Major Flanagan, John Flanagan, Darren Flanagan and Chris Hanagan, all of Chicago, Victor Flanagan and Tommy Flanagan, both of Hollandale, James Flanagan of Southaven and Wilford Flanagan of Atlanta; three sisters, Mary Allen, Maggie Grant and Vernessa Armsted, all of Chicago; and nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Zion M.B. Church in Percy with Phil Gibson officiating. Burial will follow at Caney Cemetery in Delta City. Visitation will be from 5 until 6 tonight at Walker Funeral Home in Rolling Fork.
