Georgie Pearson

Georgie “Fern” Pearson died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, at the University Medical Center in Jackson. She was 70.

Mrs. Pearson was born in Lawton, Okla., and had lived in the Vicksburg-Valley Park area for about 42 years. She was a beautician at Plaza Hair Care. She was a member of the Living Water Church and the Order of Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Maxine Hendricks; and a brother, George Dale Hendricks.

Survivors include her husband Jimmy Pearson of Redwood; two sons, William Pearson and Jim Pearson, both of Vicksburg; three daughters, Karen White and Sabrina Smith, both of Vicksburg, and Lisa Reid of Utah; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home with Bishop Doyle Moulder officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at Glenwood Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Derek Segers, David Wade Smith, Daniel Moulder, Oran Payne, Steven Payne and Mark Quick.

Honorary pallbearers will be Coby Virgen, Wayne White, Carroll Kirkpatrick, Jerry McDuff, Troy Nugent, the McCammon family, members of Goall Hunting Club and members of Living Water Church.
