Robert S. Wood has been named chief of the real estate division within the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Vicksburg District.

A Tallulah native, Wood began his Corps career as a realty specialist and advanced to chief of the realty services branch in the real estate division.

Responsibilities of Wood and his staff include providing construction right of way and real estate support for regional work.

Wood has a bachelor’s degree in finance and real estate from Louisiana State University. He and his wife, Suzanne, have two children.
