Evelyn T. Meronek

PLOVER, Wis. — Evelyn T. Meronek of Plover, Wis., died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009, at St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point, Wis. She was 81.

Mrs. Meronek was born in Vicksburg to the late Toefel and Minnie Nohra. She retired in 1998 after having worked in the cafeteria departments for Sentry Insurance and Delmonte Foods.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Meronek; and one brother, George Nohra.

Survivors include one son, Thomas Meronek of Plover; four daughters, Pamela Pezewski of Plover, Patty Meronek of Stevens Point, Pauline Krommenacker of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., and Paige Dodge of Lexington, Ky.; three sisters, Martha Farris, Delores Coomes and Josephine Fulcher, all of Vicksburg; one brother, David Nohra of Mississippi; and nine grandchildren.

A Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Bronislava Catholic Church in Plover with the Rev. Dennis Stanchik officiating. Burial will be at the Guardian Angel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Pisarski Community Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Plover with rosary at 7 p.m. and Thursday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the service.
