Port Gibson woman arrested on forgery charge from Oct. 9

A Port Gibson woman was charged Sunday with uttering a forgery on Oct. 9.

Charlene Mobley, 51, was arrested at 9:29 a.m. at her home at 207 Olive St. by Claiborne County Sheriff’s deputies on a Vicksburg warrant for cashing a $4,550 check at Riverwalk Casino, Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

She was brought to Vicksburg at about 3:43 p.m. Sunday and then released from the Warren County Jail on $5,000.

Two vehicles missing in city

Vehicles, cigarettes and electronics were among items reported missing in Vicksburg during the weekend, Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

A white 1983 Dodge pickup, Mississippi tag WB2910, valued at $7,000 was reported stolen from a parking lot at 4041 Washington St. at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.

A 1990 Nissan pickup, Mississippi tag WB2324, valued at $5,000 was reported stolen from a parking lot at 2764 Washington St. at 6:49 p.m. Sunday.

A Honda 3,500-watt generator valued at $1,800 was reported stolen from a home in the 1300 block of Chambers Street at 9:35 a.m. Saturday.

A Sony PlayStation game console valued at $280 and five PlayStation games valued at $20 each were reported stolen from a home in the 200 block of Central Drive at 11:14 a.m. Saturday.

A Dell laptop computer valued at $1,200 was reported stolen from a 2003 Toyota Avalon in the 2900 block of Laurel Street at 11:48 a.m. Saturday.

An Apple iPod MP3 player valued at $160, a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses valued at $100 and 50 CDs valued at $300 were reported stolen from a 1997 Honda Civic in a parking lot at 2939 N. Frontage Road at 2:50 p.m. Sunday.

Two 12-packs of Bud Light valued at $9.99 each and 15 packs of Marlboro Lights cigarettes valued at $4.67 each were reported stolen from Jubilee Smoke Break, 3414 U.S. 61 South, at 5:56 a.m. Saturday.

“Video surveillance showed a white male, wearing a camouflage jacket with the hood over his head,” Stewart said.

Power tools missing on Silver Creek

In Warren County, power tools were reported missing from a garage in the 300 block of Silver Creek Drive at 6:23 p.m. Sunday.

A 200-amp Homelite Indoor electric panel box valued at $155, a 125-amp GE indoor electrical panel box valued at $80, a 25-piece Craftsman screwdriver set valued at $140, a 20-volt battery operated Craftsman drill valued at $90, an 11-piece medium Craftsman punch set valued at $50, two car underhood lights valued at $80, a Gladiator wall storage cabinet valued at $150, a Craftsman eight-piece metric and standard box-end wrench set valued at $90 and a Craftsman 11-piece T-handle torx wrench set valued at $50 were reported stolen.
